Chevrolet has introduced a new 1LT luxury Impala for the year 2008, loaded with features. The car cruises well on the highway. Impala is offered in four models: LS, LT, LTZ and SS. The LT has two different trim levels: 1LT and 2LT. The Impala rides on 16-18-inch, five-spoke, styled cast-aluminum wheels. It has a simplified sound system, while the new radio is intuitive and offers excellent reception. |
The standard engine is a 3.5-liter V-6 that produces 211 horsepower. The small-block V-8 engine of the SS can generate as much as 303 horsepower and uses an active fuel management system. Almost all the engines can run on either gasoline or E85 (a blend of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline), or a combination of both. E85 ethanol fuel is a cleaner-burning fuel made from renewable, organic resources that help keep the environment clean. These engines also features advanced variable valve timing (VVT) that uses an electronically controlled camshaft phaser to maximize horsepower and torque outputs. |
A large, accommodating passenger cabin is the most attractive feature of all 2008 Impala models. Flip and fold rear seats do a lot to maximize storage capacity. The cars are armed with anti-lock brake system (ABS) and traction control, crash-avoidance features that help prevent wheel lockup. A driver information center to keep you up to date on various functions of the car; personalized settings such as door-lock functionality; remote keyless entry preferences; and remote start disablement (when equipped) are some of the other features. Dual-zone climate control is standard on all models except the LS.
